Geocaching

Poor Aydri has been miserable lately. She's teething several teeth. Her tear ducts are blocked which makes her get infections easily. Her eyes are always red, swollen and watery. She's been suffering from a little cold too.
I wanted to get a picture of her wearing real shoes for the first time. This is the face I've been seeing for the last two weeks. She is finally doing better and getting treatment for her eyes now.
Aunt Cari got a slip n slid for the girls. This has provided hours of fun. They both love the water no matter what the weather is like.

We celebrated Jared's birthday yesterday. For the last three years we've tried to go to the ranch for dinner and it has been bad weather every year. Kendi made him a rice crispy cake and decorated it herself. We saved the dutch oven cobbler for another day.
After having cancelled everything with everyone my family decided to go up anyway. We were going to do a short hike to a geocach and then a short bike ride. The weather switched off and on from beautiful to windy and cold then back to beautiful. As we were leaving it started thundering really loud. We still had a ton of fun.
I attempted my first geocache with my achievement day girls a few weeks ago. We didn't end up finding it and we were all very disappointed. I later figured out that the GPS was set to minutes which is normally the most common setting, but that's not what geocachers use. We changed it to decimals and took Kendi out to find it. She calls it "treasure hunting" and is hooked on it.
We decided to find some that were out away from the city. We know this area really well and were excited to find out someone had hid some geocaches up in the mountains. It was a good little hike.

After the hike, we rode the bikes down the road and hopped onto the Virgin River Rim Trail where it crosses the road. This was my first mountain bike ride. Jared and my sisters have always been into mountain biking and I've always wanted to try it. This trail was a good one for first timers. I had to stop and walk up the Webster's Flat road three times, but after that it was all down hill. I need to get in better shape.
We met up with my parents and the kids down at Kid's Pond where they were looking for another geocache. Grandpa was fishing with Kendi. Despite cancelling everything we still had a great day.
Last month, my family went in together and got Jared and I Bryan Regan tickets when he was at Tuacahn. I can't even describe how much fun that was. I thought Jared was going to pee his pants. I didn't realize I had been laughing non-stop until my throat dried up and I couldn't stop coughing.

On the night of Jared's birthday, Tammy, Adrian and Jana had come to town so we stayed up and played Spades. The later it got the more funny everything was. My family does not usually stay up late so this was a rare occasion. We had put Aydri to sleep on the floor in another room and were hoping she wouldn't wake up and walk down the stairs. All of a sudden she appeared between my parents chairs, quiet as a mouse, grinning from ear to ear.
